Take a break helps you limit short-video scrolling and gaming time on iOS. This policy explains how we handle information.
The app runs primarily on your device. We may process:
• Apps, categories, or websites you choose to limit (Apple Screen Time APIs)
• Schedules, reminder text, and Premium custom rules
• Subscription status (via Apple StoreKit; payments handled by Apple)
• Local stats such as daily block count (App Group on device only)
We do not operate user accounts or upload this data to our servers.
Settings and stats stay on your iPhone/iPad and in Apple App Group storage shared with system extensions. Uninstalling the app typically removes local data.
• Screen Time: usage tracking and shields when limits are reached
• Notifications: 5-minute warning alerts
• Face ID / Touch ID / device passcode: verify identity before stopping limits
You can change these anytime in iOS Settings.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not integrate third-party ads or analytics SDKs.
Parents may use the app to manage a child's device. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 on our own servers.
You can delete rules, stop monitoring, or revoke permissions and manage subscriptions in iOS Settings at any time.
